PureVoice is a voice codec developed by QualComm, famous cell phone manufacturer and also the developers of Eudora e-mail client.

It offers two compression settings: PureVoice (high quality) and SmartRate (low quality). The encoding technology is based on CDMA (that was also developed by QualComm).

Besides being available as the standalone apps featured here, PureVoice encoding technology is also available as a QuickTime component and Eudora plugin.
